Advised Macquarie Group in relation to its NZ$220 million acquisition and financing of the long-term concession to operate SkyCity’s Auckland car parks (transport).
Advised Spark New Zealand on the agreement to sell to Pacific Equity Partners a 75% stake in Spark New Zealand’s data centre business, which values the business at up to NZ$705 million (telecommunications).
Advised 2degrees for over a decade on all of its significant transactions including financings, including most recently on its dual track sale (IPO and trade), resulting in the NZ$1.7bn merger with Orcon Group (telecommunications).
Advised a consortium in respect of its bid for the Waikeria Prison public-private partnership (public sector).
Advised PPPs (from a tax perspective), including the ShapED consortium in connection with the ‘Schools 3’ PPP project, and the Future Schools Partners consortium in connection with the ‘Schools 2’ PPP project (educational infrastructure).
Advised John Laing on its investment in Northern Express Group (NX2) in connection with the Pūhoi to Warkworth Private Public Partnership with the NZ Government (transport infrastructure).
Advised the financiers in relation to KiwiRail’s acquisition of new Interislander ferries (transport).
Advised the financiers in relation to facilities provided to Clarus (formerly First Gas) (energy).
Advised Watercare in respect of its establishment of and issuances under its New Zealand medium term note and commercial paper programmes, its Australian medium term note programme and its European medium term note programme (water infrastructure).
