Mayne Wetherell does not operate a rotation system, so summer clerks gain exposure to all areas of law that underpin corporate and finance transactions.  Rather than being placed in a single team, you work across matters as they arise, building a broad understanding of our clients’ businesses.  This breadth of experience creates a challenging and engaging environment that strengthens your commercial judgement and professional confidence.

Your growth

Our summer clerkship marks the beginning of your professional development at Mayne Wetherell.  Alongside your day-to-day work, you’ll take part in a structured training programme designed to give you a broader understanding of our practice and the legal principles that underpin it.  We invest in long-term growth through ongoing mentoring, regular feedback and meaningful guidance, ensuring you build the skills needed to navigate complex legal issues.

One team

At Mayne Wetherell, we operate as one team.  You’ll gain exposure to different aspects of a transaction and working closely with lawyers at every level.  You’re encouraged to ask questions and share ideas.  You’ll be a valued member of the team and not just an observer.
