Mayne Wetherell is acting for Deutsche New Zealand Limited in relation to its recently announced investment in, and strategic alliance with, New Zealand’s largest retail broker Craigs Investment Partners.
Acquisition of Yellow Pages Group
Mayne Wetherell acted for ABN AMRO, Barclays Bank, Calyon and Deutsche Bank as arrangers and financiers in relation to the acquisition by CCMP Asia and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Board of Yellow Pages Group for a purchase price exceeding NZ$2.1 billion. The transaction completed in April 2007.
Bond issuance
Mayne Wetherell acted for Deutsche Bank AG on the public debt offer by Deutsche Bank AG of NZ$ unsecured senior ranking bonds. This offer is one of a small number of offers by a registered bank to the public in New Zealand.
Mayne Wetherell acted for Deutsche Bank AG as lead manager in relation to the issue of mortgage bonds by RMB Trustee Limited. This transaction involved the repackaging of mortgage-backed securities.
